*sighs*... There is GRACE

Source: julia.blogg.se via Nela on Pinterest

Life is hard isn't it? Well as John Wayne once said, "it's harder if we're stupid".

It seems like even before the New Year began, I've been fighting the biggest battle I've encountered so far, and now I'm exhausted, but yet there are many more battles to come... .

Trust.....(my word before 2013 began). So much trust...I don't know about you, but growing up is hard.
Ever read the poem "Footprints in the Sand"? Well, there are times when I feel like I'm being dragged across the sand or I'm sitting on my butt refusing to go any further because I don't know where I'm going.....and that scares me....but you know what, life goes on.

Apparently I've learned that we'll never stop learning, but we can take comfort that this life isn't about us, but Christ. As long as He is glorified we can be content, but only if we let that knowledge sink in.....

It's hard to let go of familiar things....but I'm learning to trust His will.

We all have stories...I may not know yours, and I certainly don't know mine, because we're still alive.

We are small, itty bitty pieces of the GRAND puzzle. Our words will never be perfect, except by God's grace alone. As long as we're living for the glory of Christ Jesus...things will fall into place, according to His perfect time.

remember... LIVE FOR HIS GLORY!

I think that *trust* is one of my words to live by this year as well. It's so easy to believe that our plans and dreams could not be improved upon, but I keep having to point myself back to Christ and His perfect timing.

By the way, have you ever read "Trust" by Lydia Brownback? I read parts of it last year, and found it to be excellent. (It's on this year's list, too!)

The entire series is great, but I thought that "Trust" was the most applicable book for you right now. ;) They're written in a devotional style, which is nice because you can just read a couple of pages and really ponder them.

Have a great weekend! You will be in my prayers, Nela.

Hugs,
Lauren

This post is incredible, Nela. And let me tell you what I know about your story, okay? I also know that my story is so much different, yet so alike, too.

Your story is living the life that God has already created for you. God has used your dreams, gifts, everything you have; to use His powers, for a beautiful life, that is and will always be, eternal because He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, down to save us all from our sins.

I'm praying that God will show you the way soon. I love where you are right now, writing this blog that's filled with so, so, so many amazing and powerful words that give me so much faith. Although I don't exactly know where you are right now, or what your future will look like; but He will show you the way. And I hope that part of your Plan will always be right here.

Take Care, Nela! Hopefully we can talk soon. Love, [ Meena ]

btw, I plan on writing more of these comments soon.

This is so wonderful, Nela. Already in 2013, God has taught me so much trust through trial.

And that story part? Oh my goodness. so true.

He is beautiful.

There's always time to think and plan things out, but first pray to God that He may iluminate you so you can figure out what to do and where He wants to take you. :) But know that no matter what, you are safe in His hands. God wants all His children to be happy. :)

Trust can be so difficult, for me at least! But God is gracious and little by little it does get easier! Praying for you as you begin a new year, may 2013 be filled with blessing and grace! :-)
